Depends. Would you rather deal with ice maker problems or compressor problems?

I have the 3 door version of this fridge, for about 6 months now. My wife and I love it. Space is great, I love the water pitcher (you always have cold water on hand), and the 2 different types of ice in trays are awesome. Holds temp infinitely better than our old fridge. I have it set to 34 degrees and I've only had 1 thing freeze on me (lettuce right next to the vent at the top).

This is a great deal, I've been very happy with ours. The only issue is minor rattling noises and such.

I purchased the allstate warranty (unfortunately Citi warranty isn't available anymore), haven't had to use it so fingers crossed.

I'm in the market for a refrigerator, but I'm tired of researching and hearing about everyone's issues with these two brands.
The more I research, the more questions I get.
Although, I have to say, the least amount of problems I hear are from owners of Bosch.
But at almost 4k, they are way too pricey.
Anyway, I'll keep researching…

Did you sign up for the Samsung emails? Is it for everyone or just targeted promo?

imho pitcher is a awkward design. With dispenser, you can use single hand to fill cup a in 5 sec. With the pitcher, you have to use two hands and it takes double time as you need to open the door, take off the pitcher, pour the water, and put everything back. Adding ice to the cup will further adds more extra time compared to an ice dispenser on the door. Besides, the water inside the pitcher does not circulate and not as fresh as water from dispenser. The infuser is even confusing. Why would people want to have flavored water to start with, instead of pure water so they have the option to infuse it or not.
Never had any issues with those things. The water in the pitcher doesn't taste any differently to me. Depending on the amount of ice and water you want, it can be a lot faster to get ice from the freezer and water from the pitcher vs waiting for a dispenser for all of it. I infuse my water when I want to have flavored water, if I wanted fresh water then I wouldn't infuse. The insert isn't awkward, imo.

Count me in to the club that has had Samsung fridge issues. The one I had the ice maker kept freezing itself and the instrument panel stopped working within 1 year. 2 years later things still don't work properly.

I had the same initial thought but now love the pitcher on my Bespoke. My family all agrees it's so much faster than our previous glass filler. I can fill a few cups quick. And we usually don't need ice because it comes from the pitcher ice cold. Kids have fun with the infuser, drinking more water.

Sorry this is slightly off topic since it's not about the highlighted fridge but I'm in the market for a new fridge and this video helped me. I write this because the fridge deals comment section kinda always turns into how each company is not reliable.

His top recommendation is for GE fridges specifically the ones made in the US. He also goes into detail about what parts are prone to braking in fridges etc.

LG fridge owner here… my compressor died 8 months in. It was replaced under warranty and they tossed me $400 for the food. That being said, it been 6 years and she's still going strong.
