yup, they changed it shortly after I made my comment. I myself wasn't able to pull the trigger either because I was on my way to work but looks like some people did.

I'd be so broke if I lived near a MC. These deals are fantastic but I'm glad I don't live by one.

with the 7900x goes back to $550 (not $470 as it was earlier), i guess it's an easy decision to buy 13700k?

what is a good heatsink to buy since it doesn't come with one?

Samsung 980 or 990 pro would be a good combo
for nvme, is solidigm P44 Pro good? or just the samsung? I think this samsung costs more than solidigm p44 pro 2tb

Truly any gen 3 + is fine. I have both 980 pro and 670p and can't tell difference.

For those asking 13700k v 7900x... While 13700k is actually better in some areas and equal in others, since the Asus mobo it's bundled with is decent (not the msi one!), You will easily be able to upgrade CPU for at least the next 2 gens. Therefore the better deal is 7900x. If it weren't for that, then 13700k.

7900x if you want to upgrade CPU anytime in next 2 gens at least.

Folks, don't fret on nvme.. truly any quality m.2 will be fine.. from 670p to 990p to 850x and equivalent. Save your money for the other parts which add up quickly.. whether be psu, GPU or cooking

If 7900x, remember it's designed to run at near 90c! So investing in more cooling is a waste, so long as you keep it from throttling too fast.

Intel on the other hand will benefit by MORE cooling!

7900x , cool just to keep from throttling
13700k, cool at all times!

why? too much theft going on?

I knew a PC "hobbyist" who would go to Frys and Microcenter to buy everything to try and return after trying said item a few days later. He was probably responsible for 90% of the store's open box items.

I can't say since I have never tried that brand. I have a 980 pro and it is a solid drive. Prices now for the samsung drives are their lowest yet.

Solidigm is good. 2nd fastest behind the Samsung 990 pro https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...ssd-review

For air coolers. Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 is cheap and highly rated. Often compared with more expensive coolers.

Deepcool Ak620 is also good.

both of the bundle comes with asus mobo, so you are saying the asus comes with the amd is better than asus that comes with intel? when i buy a pc, my thought is to be done with it for at least the next 4-5 years, like the last time i upgrade, i bought intel i7 4th gen, now 8 years later, time to buy another one to last for next 8 years.

Both Asus are fine. I was referring to the msi bundled with 7700x which is crap.

If you truly not interested in upgrading for 4 years, I personally would go for 13700k then. At certain benchmarking/workloads, it equals 7900x and in others it beats it.
If CPU prices continue falling, then AM5 intrigues because you can theoretically just plop another chip down the road. Intel will maybe get you to 14th gen, but even that is not certain (though likely)

that's not theft..there's a lot of stores leaving California from too much theft..or barricading the items behind plastic windows

thank you for your suggestion. how many years will amd use their current plafform for the cpu? i understand the lg 1700 only last 3 gen, 12, 13, and 14, so you are suggesting the amd will go at least 4 years or more using the same socket?

Thanks.
