Can I use it with my WiiM Pro streamer via digital out and connect it to the receiver via RCA? Will it be better than using the WiiM built-in DAC? Thanks.

Definitely better than the wiim built in dac but it will depend on how good uour receiver amps are. Normally they are crappy.

Thanks. I have a Yamaha A2080 receiver, which is not great, but OK. It seems like it is an older model, and usually, DAC technology changes so much, it concerns me a bit. I guess that is why it is on sale. I also read somewhere that it lacks XMOS support, not sure what that is.

I enjoy looking at the lastest and greatest DAC and such, but I fully realize my hearing won't distinguish any difference between DACs as long as they are properly engineered. I shop for audio equipments based on features and price and reliability. I think a DAC with headphone amp is much more practical than just a DAC.

In this case Topping DX1 HA+DAC could be a good candidate for 3 times less (minus coolness of cause)
