The cancellation method requires you having items sent to two different stores for store pickup. This is not recommended though because, in my experience, both times I attempted it it took Home Depot over 3 weeks to ship the item to my store. Home Depot will then theoretically hold on to it for a week and then cancel it. Except they often won't and will hold on to it forever until you pick it up unless you call and cancel. I ended up driving there and picking it up and returning it immediately which I could have done much sooner if it had been shipped to my house.
