I have played a great many Oculus games, but the best one by far (when you factor in all the DLC) is Star Wars Galaxies Edge. The DLC chapters are amazing. I say this because I wish the graphically enhanced version you can play on PlayStation was available on Steam

Heads up that you're buying this just for the campaign. MP is mostly dead, and the few games you get into expect to be utterly trounced by players using near unbeatable tactics.

That said one of my favorite star wars games. Worth playing in VR if you have a headset

That's quite sad, it was really fun early on til people figured out how to game the system then it became miserable.

Hmm I'm seeing $3.49 and $3.99 battlefront games as well as $6.99 and $9.99 versions. What's the difference between all of the battlefronts? I remember playing those like 15 years ago but don't remember much. Would be interested in buying one for the nostalgia but not sure what the differences are.

The cheaper ones are the older ones made by Pandemic Studios - the ones you remember playing. The more expensive ones are the newer ones developed by DICE/EA that had mixed reception. From what I remember Battlefront 2 (newer) did kind of redeem itself. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The original Battlefront 2 by pandemic is still considered king (imho). The space battles were awesome, Jedi/Sith/hero system made sense, and it felt a bit snappier with gunfights and movement.

Thank you! This is helpful. I might pick up both versions of BF2 just to have the latest but also indulge in some nostalgia. No idea when I'll play them, but I feel compelled to have them in my Steam library laugh out loudApplause

The biggest issue with the new Battlefront games is they play like Battlefield with a Star Wars mod slapped on them.

Maybe I'm just slowing down, but it feels like there's almost too much going on all at once for it to be an experience you can focus on enjoying.

The visuals are great, but you're too focused on not dying to really appreciate them. They've also added elements that create an immediate disparity between players that isn't based on skill, so it's become less about how well you play and more about canned strategies.

The original games were way more sparse in detail, but that forced you to not camp endlessly and play more of the objective.

Hmmm... $7 for Empire at War and it's Playable on Steam Deck... Just got a new Mac Mini M1 so probably won't be able to play the Mac version I have anymore. Tempted to buy it again for the Deck.

I have the BF2 celebration edition (2017) from Epic game store (EA login) and I am still playing its multiplayer Supremacy regularly and it's been fun.
