It's been a bit but I believe the only difference is the mute switch is in a slightly different position. Still usable just doesn't line up completely

I found the article which stated "Its camera bump has been redesigned, and its buttons are positioned differently on the new phone. This means that cases made for the iPhone 12 will not fit the iPhone 13 and vice versa". May be different for the pro max version?

It's definitely different between regular 12 to 13, just did that for my daughter and the volume, mute, and camera spacing was not compatible, not sure on pro or max varieties but I would bet they are.

Cases can be made to fit both generations. I believe that's the case here. Cases that were originally designed for the 12 don't necessarily fit on a 13.
I tried to order the ocean blue case but even though I was able to add it to my cart, it was not available upon checkout.
