Also, "Note: Steam account required to play"... Seems doubtful that you need a Steam account for GOG.
Edit: Forgot to mention, vita has the hd collection, although it's probably similar to xbox from what I recall.

Off the top of my head I think no other current gen console has this game available. I think your best bet would be to buy this version, find a PS1 or PS2 and buy a copy for those systems, or get an emulator and play it on there

This will all be moot when the new HD remasters and remakes come out, but as far as I know those are very much up in the air.

The best version of this game imo is a little known GameCube port not done by kojima. It adds fpv and just polished the entire game. To me it's the most modern playable version of a masterpiece. They did a really good job of adding to and preserving a classic.

Yep, good call on Twin Snakes. The collection on the Vita is also great, but Twin Snakes is the superior version of MGS1.
