Jasco[byjasco.com] has the GE Z-Wave Plus Smart Switch for $20. Light Almond, Google Assistant/Amazon Alexa compatible smart switch w/ programmable backlight. Free shipping available on orders over $50.
I replaced two switches with Innovelli switches recently. I had bought a bunch of them a year or two ago when they were basically launching based off of buyers from Slickdeals. They are apparently much more customizable.
spray / paint it white? Once connected to Smartthings it will be automated and I wont even use the toggle up/down, and already have white cover plates (or buy at HD for $1)
Zooz. I've got about 25 Zooz switches in my house and have zero issues. They look and operate like conventional paddle switches, so no one even realizes they're smart until you do something cool with them.
GE z wave switches are also trash. They work great until they die.
Which version were you using, the original z-wave or the newer z-wave plus? Most of the originals that failed had a bad capacitor, jasco extended the warranty to 5 years to cover those.

They fail because they use a traditional electro mechanical relay that will eventually fail. You can repair them fairly easily by replacing the relay. The dimmable don't rely on this contactor and won't fail, but they might flicker.
also recommend zooz over GE/jasco. 3 of my 4 jascos died out within a couple years. I replaced them all with Zooz switches and no issues. They usually go on sale for ~$25

I've had better luck. *Knocks on wood* One out if 1 out of 5 has given me issues. The other four are going strong

That's a ST issue not a Zooz issue. ST is garbage since Samsung
Never had issues with GE and smart things
Looks more like a Light Switch to me
