ALL of the nanos are soldered RAM. Compromises to get the thinnest possible ThinkPad. 99% of users won't need more than 16 gigs for a long time. If you need it, go T series (which is also transitioning to soldered ram.) Sorry, it's the future.

Great deal! However I'm in a weird spot where I want a business laptop but also want touch screen (for clients to interact with the screen occasionally). Guess I might need to go another lineup from Lenovo? Flex or Yoga maybe.

Tempted. Looking for my grad school laptop and I have limited bag space. I think I might wait for the 3rd gen to 'normalize' in price, but this is tempting as Ive heard the first gen nano keyboard is the best of the nanos
So it's between this at 779...
vs my MicroCenter which has gen 2 i7 models at 1000 (open box)
Or wait for the gen3 to show up at normal price (probably $1500+..)
Hmm...

16gb soldered ram at this price makes this a pass for me.

Both my usb ports died on mine right as warranty expired. Needs a motherboard replacement to repair. Thinkpads aren't what they used to be, I still can use my t series from 2009
