They charge $600 to come out and fix it though. The part is under warranty and not the refrigerator. Currently have this issue with an lg. after they fix it, they only guarantee the new compressor for 90days.

I just had a fridge delivered today from costco and can confirm they took away old fridge, included basic water line and filter. Did not have them hook up water line as the location of the new fridge has no water hookup

Did that happen to you? Mine failed a few years back, local tech was over in 2 days. Replaced it for no money. They even paid me back for spoiled food, I believe it was like 25% of what I told them it was

Yes I called yesterday I had a 2017 model which has the bad compressor. I called lg they said the refrigerator is not under warranty even though the part has a 10 yr warranty. For lg to come out it will cost $550 plus tax and they cover any fixes. Any new part is only guaranteed for 90 days so if something goes wrong again which seems like a big possibility even according to pseg. Then you'll be paying again

Wow, sorry.. that's a sleazy move. For what it's worth, I haven't had any issues with mine since replacement at least.

No possibility of hacking the deal. Since you paid $0 for the tv, you will get $0. If you look at your receipt, they deduct the full price of the "free" item, they do not prorate the cost between the items

Just last week I placed an order for the fridge pictured for 2200 dollars and a 5 year warranty. I felt like that was high but figured for life time value it was okay and it was 100 less than Lowe's. I just canceled it because with this deal I got the same fridge and warranty plus a 55 inch Lg TV for 1670 (Hisense was sold out but the lg was 50 dollars more https://www.costco.com/.product.9...ed_product). Saved over 500 bucks and got a TV (no idea where that is going but will cross that bridge when I get there haha) Thank You and repped!!

From what I read it has 5 year part and labor and 10 year parts only. If your refrig. Is less than 5 years the repair should be covered. If over 5 years only the compressor part is covered and they are charging you for labor.

For those getting this LG Fridge look at the Consumer Ratings before buying or get an extended warranty as they are not reliable. I bought one 5 years ago. Today the compressor failed. The repair guy said he can fix it for $800 not under warranty anymore and also told me about the LG compressor recall/class action suit. So now LG is covering the compressor but installing will still cost me for $300. That's after 2 month order process and waiting for LG to send a new compressor, since they are on backorder due to many failing.
Buyer Beware.
