Amazon has this weekend limited time deals on Nuwave and other brands of portable as well as built in induction. Prices may change without notice.

NUWAVE
FLEX $54 6.5" coil 100F to 500F, 3 Wattage Settings 600, 900, and 1300w $54 https://www.amazon.com/Precision-...08YJ6ZPFJ/ $54 AC

GOLD $62 8" coil 100°F to 575°F, 3 Wattage Settings 600, 900, and 1500 Watts, 12" Heat-Resistant Cooking Surface $62 after $10 in ad coupon
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CHB1Y22/ $62 AC

PRO Chef $114 "Commercial-Grade", Portable, 1800W, 8" Heating Coil, 94 Temp Settings 100°F - 575°F in 5°F increments, Shatter-Proof Ceramic Glass Surface, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085J2PQRB/ $114 AC

DOUBLE $160 Nuwave PIC Double, Portable, 1800W with 2 Large 8" Heating Coils, Independent Controls, 94 Temp Settings from 100°F to 575°F in 5°F Increments, 11.5" Shatter-Proof Ceramic Glass Surface, power switch, touch controls $160 AC

---

GOLD 1500 watt is a better deal here than FLEX 1300 watt. GOLD 1500 watt has rarely been priced lower than $62.

NOTE: Reviews may be misleading. The specifications for each name model have undergone revisions. Reviews where a 7 ply fry pan such as All-Clad D7 or Demeyere Proline was not used may easily report less than satisfactory results on any portable induction.

The DOUBLE I used had a substantial build quality. Its advanced controls are not for everyone. The touch controls are sensitive. I had to remember to press the lock key otherwise it was easy to change the temperature while cooking accidentally. The new Pro Chef single looks to be the same.

IME NUWAVE PICs are durable and have an excellent form factor. Large stable cooking surface. The ball bearing fan is larger and quieter. They hold a slow simmer. > For best results on any portable induction which heats in the center use a 7 Ply fry pan like All-Clad D7 ( nla) or Demeyere Atalantis Proline to spread the heat and avoid warping. Staub enameled c.i. 24 cm pan is also a good choice.

So to get the most of out of these 60-100$ cookers you need 500-700$ pans? LMAO!
I've been using a much older model of NuWave induction hob with basic non-stick pans, and it works just fine. In fact, I vastly prefer using it to my glass-top electric range.

I'm currently using it with a $40 Oxo Softworks skillet I got from Costco. and for non-nonstick, I'm using Tramontana Tri-Ply pans.

OK now that sounds much better.
