But performance aside, this is a great value. The motherboard is worth around $200, the 12700k $300, and RAM $40. So $540 of product for $350.
The processor will still chew up anything you throw at it and I have the z790 version of that board for my 13900k and it is wonderful; packed with good connections and options.
I'd wait for matching RAM to go on sale and then buy at least one more stick but being that RAM is so cheap now I would rather get three and max out the board.
This setup calls for an air cooler if you want stability. I've got a Noctua NH-U12A for mine as these professors are very hot and hard to tame but that fan is like half the price of this system and I think you can be aas with a lower cost one. I would look at the Noctua D-15.
Get the biggest GPU you can afford and throw it into a Fractal case (I love the Torrent) and you're not only good to go, but you'll lead the pack for years to come.
