Either take a D3 supplement or get your bare butt out in the sun. The health benefits are proven.
If you are truly concerned, you can extend dosing intervals -- eg 1 pill every 2 days (=2.5k/day) or 1 pill a week (714 IU/day).

Not having enough Vitamin D in your system leads to a ton of various health issues and has been shown to cause chronic problems and disease ie. cancer. So if you're unsure and not feeling well, go to your doctor and get tested first.
I was recently found to be deficient (lab results below)
Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy 9.3 Low ng/mL 30.0-100.0 04-08-2023 02:55 Final Results 01
and I've been suffering from a lot of random symptoms that have been making my life a living hell. Unexplained fatigue, sore muscles, bone pain, etc. anxiety, etc. Been on 50K for 3 weeks and things have gotten better but still not quite there yet. Doc is telling me to go 9 weeks with another blood test in a week to check on levels. I work in an office and go outside regularly for walks and weekend activities. I live in a temperate zone in the US and I THOUGHT I was getting enough sunshine but apparently not. Good luck to anyone out there who is suffering from this ailment.
