Why don't they sell it for dirt cheap prices from warehouse directly? I hate how corpos act. They would let it go to waste and hurt the ecosystem by putting them in a landfill but hate to deteriorate their brand by selling it for less.

You are probably right, they are most likely scared selling them at a massive discount will erode what they want market price to be and / or they will claim this disposal as a total write-off on their taxes.

A true waste from so many different perspectives.

Because misaligned incentives.It nets them more money to just dump these rather than try to sell.
Supply chain works in mysterious ways just like the force lol.
