Wouldn't you rather have 2-4 slots and reasonable, non-gouging pricing for 4-8TB SSDs? I sure would, but.....
I'd also like to see 16TB+ externals so we can finally put WD/Seagate hard drives to bed for good, but that's not going to happen either until they've relieved everyone of their last dollar. Too much money in selling $30 drives for $300... I mean what's better? Real progress or easy money?

When it arrived, installation was really easy. I just had to slide it into the expansion slot, put on the included heatsink, and screw it in place. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. Once I restarted my PS5, I had a ton of new space and could finally install all my old PS4 games without worrying about running out of room. The loading speeds also seemed a bit faster with some of my PS5 games installed on the new drive.
However, there were a couple downsides I noticed. First, the heatsink PNY includes is pretty big and prevents you from putting the side panel back on properly. It's not a huge deal but kind of annoying. Second, the actual read/write speeds I was getting were not quite as fast as the advertised 7500MB/s. More like 6300MB/s. Again, not a massive problem but a little misleading.
Overall though, for the amount of high-speed storage this SSD provides, I'm really happy with it as an upgrade for my PS5. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. If PNY could make the heatsink a bit more compact and push a firmware update to improve the speeds a bit, this would be a 5-star product. But as-is, I'd still highly recommend it to anyone looking to seriously expand their PS5 storage on a budget. The extra space and moderately faster load times make it worth it!
