Usually email address. I used to create new email addresses just for SiriusXM. This is just for streaming (online, app), no RadioID necessary.
If you have a gmail address, you can put a period anywhere in your userid. It shows as a new email but get delivered to your original email. Like if my email is biteme at gmail, you can put in bite.me at gmail and it will still be delivered to biteme at gmail.
To expand on this, you can also add a plus sign and anything after.
For the period trick:
J.smith@gmail
Jsm.ith@gmail
J.smit.h@gmail
Etc
Over the last few years I've been able to cancel SiriusXM pretty easily via online chat with a rep. They throw you a couple offers and then put it through if you still want to cancel.

Yes, different email but no matter what valid CC I put, I get, "We were unable to authorize your credit card. Please update your payment information." Don't know what else to try.

cancelling is probably the easier part. they will follow up with snail mail, asking you to come back. that is harder to stop... SXM came with car and getting rid of their snail mail offers took a few tries
Hey guys, I was just wonder what is best deal you ever got with a SiriusXM on just streaming monthly or yearly, I'm right now on 12 month for 5.43 and i was wondering if I can get better deal or what to say after the 12 months Thanks advance..
I'm paying $11.96 for the premium. I don't know if yours includes Stern or not.
What's the benefit of this over Spotify or internet in general?
You can use a satellite radio in your car or home in remote locations without thinking about your data plan with your phone.
I have one of their radios (I think it's the onyx?) where it does a "track mix" feature that jumps between stations at the end of each song and will start at the beginning of a song from another station. It's an excellent feature that nobody talks about or knows exists but it's amazing.
The app via online doesn't even offer that (as far as I know) -- either way, when you don't have access to Internet and want music without commercials, that's generally what it's for. This streaming thing... I don't get why you'd want to pay for this. There are basically infinite Internet radio stations that you can find that would satisfy anybody, and they're free - I know of some without any commercials as well, so for what this is, I'd pass unless you had an actual satellite radio and plan to use that over your cell phone.

For stern and dr.laura and commercial free radio and unlimited skips

Howard Stern is still relevant?! It was kinda fun back in the day when he had his tv show and had all of the craziness going on. The shock factor has worn off since it's is basically normalized with so many others doing the same.

Nothing really. They do have a few internet-only stations, but they're like Pandora or Spotify Free where you have limited skips.

None. It's compressed audio so it won't sound as good either. Only if you're crazy about the talk shows it would be worthwhile.
