there was a sale for $800 or something refurbished on ebay a week or two ago, someone there commented that the new series (s8?) is coming next month so expect more deals. I am going to wait personally

Roborock has like a marketing team of shills that pump these deals on slickdeals. At the very least they could comp the sd staff and have them post it. These are getting a bit repetitive I'd say - this is not a deal

It's already out in a few markets.. this is a really bad deal .. most likely, this is the new retail price of the 7's

Don't understand why I can't just buy an auto empty dock a la carte - they sold the other product to me piece meal. Really can't stand this company for saying one day and then pulling the old switcheroo on us consumers.

What is the Miele of these things? Or are they all not quite there yet? Also, wondering if all the bells and whistles would also potentially mean more points of failure

Its their flagship model (s8 coming soon though) and is pretty solid all-around vacuum plus mop. IMHO its the best in the market and yes with anything when you have more moving parts thats more potential areas to fail. I've had mine for 6 months and its worked quite well but my home is half hardwood half carpet. If you're mostly carpet then I'd prob look at a pure vacuum one instead.

I am waiting for one of these to appear somewhere as well. Am surprised that the company isn't selling it separately. I have the S7MaxV and a dry self- empty dock, but would like the Ultra dock as well and it's nowhere to be found.

I agree with the S8 Pro Ultra out at $1599.99, the S7 MaxV Ultra at $1399.99 is not a deal, even with this reduced price at $1059.99, we've already seen it at this price previously before the S8 Pro Ultra dropped. I expect the S8 MaxV Ultra to be released sometime Q3 or Q4 of this year with the return of the camera and additional sensors, since the S8 Pro Ultra removed the cameras and additional sensors due to privacy concerns from the S7 Max UltraV having them.

Hopefully this drops in price to somewhere near $799.99 in the near future, maybe they'll wait until the S8 MaxV Ultra is officially released before doing that. Here's hoping not too many people pulled the trigger at this price, and there'll be plenty of inventory left to clear out in Q3/4.

Otherwise not a bad deal! Not slick but still good!

This is a good deal. Bought this back on Black Friday 2022 for the same price. It's been working great so far so I just bought another one. The biggest differences in performance compared to the S8 Pro Ultra is that the S8 works slightly better on carpet because it has dual rollers, and it's is a little quieter, whereas the S7 MaxV is slightly better on hardfloors because it has more airflow but is a little bit louder.
