Thanks for posting OP. Should the math for Reserve be "multiply price by 0.67 " as opposed to 0.6? Or am i doing the math wrong.

I'm looking to get 2x iPhone 14 Pro 256GB phones. I have almost 400K UR and the CSP, but I'm thinking it might be worthwhile to get the sapphire reserve card specifically for this. By my math, it would save $300 worth of points. Gotta figure out if I or my wife are eligible for the signup bonus.

Yes, we did the same thing (actually I opened a Sapphire for her and have been transferring the points across, which you have to call to do)...but, combined with the sign up bonus, which more than tackles the annual fee and $300 credit for hotel/travel, it is worthwhile to keep/get the reserve for us for sure).

It looks like it calculates before, but the same point benefit ratio applies to the tax too.

The only other thing to consider is they usually do this again in October ish, so we will hold off doing this until October and get the 15s since the prices on the Apple site are always full retail.

Looks like neither I nor my wife am eligible for the CSR bonus. I got my CSP in Nov 2020, wife got hers in May 2021. Now I decide whether it's worthwhile to convert.

Folks should read through some of the old deal threads for the complications, if not horror stories, that people have faced previously with redeeming points through this 3rd party seller for Apple products.

Short answer: Unless you have no other use for Chase points that would get you the portal value or greater (and if you don't, you probably don't need a Sapphire card to begin with), let this deal go and move along.
