While Im excited to see what Bambu is doing, and where the market is heading, the P1P has a significantly smaller build volume, which is the primary draw of a printer like this.
This is a project printer out of the box. A relic that needs about $300 on top to get on with the times. Not a coreXY printer either, so no reason to spend this kind of money on an obsolete cartesian.
Also, google Creality K1 Max.

Coming from an Ender 5, I found that I hated the touchscreen and rushed to put a CR10 style 12864 display with encoder wheel on in its place.
You can get a carriage plate that lets you relocate the stock extruder to the print head for ~$25, but you'll get a little more bang for your buck by also changing to a lighter motor and a geared extruder like a BMG.
Looking forward to see if Creality will release a version of their Sprite extruder for this, but mine's getting converted into a ZeroG Mercury https://zerog.one/ linear-rail coreXY with a EVA Carriage + Phaetus Rapido hotend

Otherwise the market is bursting at the seams with solid medium format options under $400. For a couple bucks more you can have the Neptune 3 Max with 420x500.
2023 is the year of big printers.
this is a great printer for large projects but i can guarantee you the price will be sub 400 on a sale within this year if you can wait.
not only are there great competitions, building your own 3d printer will be very feasible this year with kits intended for users looking at larger build volumes 500mm +
Dont take my word for it, many additive manufacturing pundits say there is currently a race to the bottom in terms of pricing out these machines. it is a heavily saturated market.
unless you need this for work, wait a bit. i have over $4K worth of creality products so i have a bit of experience in tracking their pricing.
