Just buy a P1P instead of this. It will cost you 200 more but it's a generational leap ahead.
Not even remotely a comparable product.
While Im excited to see what Bambu is doing, and where the market is heading, the P1P has a significantly smaller build volume, which is the primary draw of a printer like this.

I have 2 of those. Upgraded both to the silent board. These are workhorse printers. I love the print volume. They may not be the fastest printer, but you can't get something this large for such a nice price anywhere else

Really hoping Ender releases a 5 s1 plus. Only thing holding me back from buying right now. Currently have an 3 s1 and wishing I had the larger build plate. Plus a 300 degree hot end.

If you really dont feel like waiting, you could buy an ender extender for your S1 and mod it to a much larger build size, and the new hotend is pretty cheap too.

This is a non-deal. There's a bunch of them floating around Amazon for this price because there are several slightly edited listings for the same thing. Some can go as low as $450.

This is a project printer out of the box. A relic that needs about $300 on top to get on with the times. Not a coreXY printer either, so no reason to spend this kind of money on an obsolete cartesian.

Also, google Creality K1 Max.

I have the X1C it's a great printer for what it is. I'm here looking at this one because of the considerably larger build volume. This isn't even the ender 5 this is the ender 5 plus. This is nearly 100mm larger in both the x/y and 150mm larger on the z axis than the Bambu lab printers. This is also larger than the K1 Max which last I checked wasn't available to order yet.

One of these with a direct drive conversion is my primary printer. They're great at ticking the box for "big printer" in your setup. A bowden printer this size is going to have some pretty mediocre retraction performance with such a long tube. It's a bit better than a CR10 Max or other bedslinger for large wispy+fragile prints.

Coming from an Ender 5, I found that I hated the touchscreen and rushed to put a CR10 style 12864 display with encoder wheel on in its place.

You can get a carriage plate that lets you relocate the stock extruder to the print head for ~$25, but you'll get a little more bang for your buck by also changing to a lighter motor and a geared extruder like a BMG.

Looking forward to see if Creality will release a version of their Sprite extruder for this, but mine's getting converted into a ZeroG Mercury https://zerog.one/ linear-rail coreXY with a EVA Carriage + Phaetus Rapido hotend

All of it sounds cool and you're likely going to end up with a pretty sweet machine. Also a pretty expensive one. If I was going to spend this kind of money and time on upgrades I'd just start from scratch and build something you can't just buy over the counter. There's a ton of info and free guides for building at least as big as 500x600. Now, that's something worth the effort.

Otherwise the market is bursting at the seams with solid medium format options under $400. For a couple bucks more you can have the Neptune 3 Max with 420x500.
2023 is the year of big printers.

many great printers mentioned but the biggest factor when it comes to an ideal printer is the purpose you will be printing them for. miniatures vs car parts suffice with very different printers.

this is a great printer for large projects but i can guarantee you the price will be sub 400 on a sale within this year if you can wait.

not only are there great competitions, building your own 3d printer will be very feasible this year with kits intended for users looking at larger build volumes 500mm +

Dont take my word for it, many additive manufacturing pundits say there is currently a race to the bottom in terms of pricing out these machines. it is a heavily saturated market.

unless you need this for work, wait a bit. i have over $4K worth of creality products so i have a bit of experience in tracking their pricing.
