is this worth the upgrade from my current system?
I play apex legends and I want to be able to play at consistent 240-360 at medium settings.
At the moment, I play everything on lowest settings, with textures and streaming budgets off and during key gameplay moments such as fights with other teams, I have FPS drops.

I would not be looking to upgrade again in the future for at least another 3-5 years.
This is my current specs. Thank you for any replies..

MOBO: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WIFI)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, 8-core 3700mhz (16 logical)
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (MECH OC) 8GB
RAM: 32GB DDR4

KEY NOTE: I do plan on building out a new system for this card, but for now I will be using this one as a placeholder until I gather all necessary parts. Just wanted feedback for if t his card would be okay on this system until i build out a new pc for it and if the card is powerful enough for my needs.

I'd say get this GPU and upgrade your CPU to a 5800x3D, you will be set for a while.

3 to 5 years would be ambitious...., if you are looking at 3-5 years you would probably want at least a 6800xt if 240 hz at 1440p ... apex is source engine which based on counterstrike its more reliant on processor speed versus 3d vcache so if you are looking at a placeholder honestly... probably 7700x build and if you are only playing apex mainly your best bet may be a combo which a 7700x combo would run around 500-600 depending on memory

honestly its a toss up, but 6800xt you would want, 6900xt prices have come down as well and are almost or are the same price as 6800xt so yea

Honestly the CPU upgrade alone would probably solve the stuttering, but as someone who made the same upgrade at GPU last November, it's a noticeable difference in performance.

I average between 70 and 88 FPS with dips down to to the high 50s in Jedi: Survivor at 4k high settings with FSR set to quality and RT turned off (Ryzen 9 7900X). I purchased the card hoping I'd be able to game at 4k for the next 5 years or so and I'm fairly confident that I'll be able to do so. Since both consoles leverage the same tech I'd imagine FSR would have to be be included with most major releases to reach their target performance on the PS5 and Series X

A 7700x requires new mobo and ram. With an x570 board it doesn't make sense to do a full new build. He can coast on super high frames on either a 5800x/5900x/5800x3d + 6800xt

he said he was playing apex, 5800x3d is 300dollars right now

new mobo and ram would be for a 7700x is 480-550 with combo deals at the moment, and he said wanted it to last 3-5 years

worse case in the next 3-5 he needs to buy a new processor

I mean you could keep what you have, get this card and just upgrade your CPU. Everything else really isn't that big of a deal in your current build. I'm not sure how many are still are but there were a lot of killer am4 deals in the past 6 months.

No, it is about on par with a 2080ti but uses less power.

Haha, I asked Google's AI which card i should get, I think it's close.

Which GPU should I get to play Diablo 4 and unreal engine based games

Diablo 4 and Unreal Engine based games are both very demanding on graphics cards. If you want to play these games at high settings and get a good framerate, you'll need a powerful GPU.

Here are a few recommendations for GPUs that will be good for playing Diablo 4 and Unreal Engine based games:

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT

These GPUs are all very powerful and will be able to handle even the most demanding games at high settings. They are also all relatively new, so they will be supported by new games for years to come.

Of course, the price of these GPUs is also very high. If you're on a budget, you may want to consider a less powerful GPU, such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. These GPUs will still be able to play Diablo 4 and Unreal Engine based games at high settings, but they may not be able to do so at the same framerate as the more expensive GPUs.

Ultimately, the best GPU for you will depend on your budget and your desired level of performance. If you want the best possible experience, then you should get one of the more expensive GPUs. If you're on a budget, then you can still get a good experience with a less powerful GPU.
