Luckily the bottle was obviously a fake—printed too wide so everything was slightly distorted. Amazon gave me a refund immediately and then weeks later sent out a notice that they were counterfeit to (I assume everyone) who purchased bottles from the third party vendor.
I've found iHerb pricing is similar and have moved my purchases there.

Good brand. Not the best which do 3rd party testing, but it does use a lot of the same manufacturers that the good brands like thorne, pure encapsulation, etc... FYI, this particular product I don't know if they use a high end manufacturer.

The qty updated, but the order price stayed the same. Will be interesting to see if I get 3 bottles for 3.50.

of course this makes little difference of the rest of your diet is full of pufa.
If you are 99% indoors, eat fake farm fish/factory meat, watered down gmo veggies. Over 4k iu vitamin d is needed, 8k-12k iu during flu/covid/vax shots season to block spike protein from attaching to your ACE2 lungs, throat, heart, kidneys, brain. Depends on your health condition, drugs you taking, and blood test.
I take 12k iu when I feel sick or close to it for a week to prevent further illness, I take 1k to 8k a day when well and eating organic real food and barechest sunbathe once a week. 12k a day for 3 months had too many bone side effects for me as got natural sunlight vitamin d.
This medical journal by Nature outlines close to complete info and data below
" By using the above-mentioned recommended vitamin D supplementation levels, there is no need to monitor serum or urinary calcium or renal function [35, 36]. There is no international consensus on the safe upper level for vitamin D supplementation.
While the upper daily limit given by the Endocrine Society is 10,000 IU [12], the IOM and The European Food and Safety Authority recommend staying below 4000 IU/day (100 µg) [37, 38]. Most countries have prudently set the safe upper level at 50 μg daily (2000 IU) for adults [35].
However, this level was set despite the availability of adequate studies of dose–response relationships or toxicity.
There is no convincing evidence that daily intakes of up to 125 μg (5000 IU) elicit severe adverse effects [39].
It has been reported that an intake of 1250 µg (50,000 IU) once every 2 weeks for several years, equivalent to 89.3 µg (3571 IU) daily, did not cause hypercalcemia or other evidence of hypervitaminosis D [40].
Small studies showed that even a daily consumption of up to 250 μg (10,000 IU) of vitamin D over long periods did not cause adverse effects in healthy adults [32, 33],
though some studies revealed a negative impact on bone mineral density by using high-dose vitamin D supplementation of 10,000 IU/day [11].
Nevertheless, supplementation of >10,000 IU of vitamin D is rarely necessary in clinical practice."

The study, which followed 132,000 patients at a Utah based medical center, found that the risk of newly developed atrial fibrillation jumped almost three-fold when blood levels of vitamin D were high.

fyi: from personal (perceived) experience...I don''t think there is a work around for pills that are way too high above the 600iu recommendation. That being said, for some in persistent darkness latitude, maybe a high dose recommended by your doctor may be appropriate. It's just not for me.
If you experience cardiac problems after taking, you will know where it came from.
