I got the 50" of this for $139 and it's fine as a basic bedroom set but has mega annoying transformer whine when the TV is off.

I've also seen this deal in local stores. Anyone have experience on whether or not this would this make a better monitor than the 43" 4K TCL deal from the other day? Well, at least to make it worth the extra $20.

Neither of these are much good for a computer monitor. They don't have strong gtg response times, but if you're set on them, I'd go TCL.

I don't know about this one, but I had to set the color space/pixel format to YBrCr 4:2:0 on the TCL to stop it from flickering when connected to my PC. That degrades quality quite a bit.

Thank you both for the answers. I'm not planning on using any TV as a primary monitor. I just wanted to experiment after seeing people say so many good things about using the TCL as one in that thread. I mostly use Google TV/Android TV boxes so am platform agnostic. One thing I cannot stand about Roku TVs is that they don't have Bluetooth hence me looking at this one. But I can always connect through my A/GTV box.

Edit: I should have mentioned I don't game. Just office type PC work.

What are the specs of the Android TV component? I don't see any specifics indicated on the Walmart website.

I own a TCL Android TV with similar specs. Hooked the Apple TV into it because Android UI 🤢

Decent TV for the price though. Picture is fine!

Does it support mounting? You can not tell from the picture of the TV on Walmart website.

I stream the xfinity from Chromecast. They're really limiting the options of Xfinity Stream. Never an Apple TV app for it.

My house is Google based so I thought it would be a good idea to buy a 55 inch Hisense that Android TV. The unit is 2 years old and Google TV is the absolute worst OS for TVs. I't so laggy and constantly crashes. I ended up buying a Roku and it saved that TV.

Biggest issue with Hisense Android based are due to its hardware (CPU/RAM) that are under powered and it is lagging when you start the device, after a while works fine, so think of it as a OLD TV with lamps.
I have an old 55 LeEco TV w/ Android that has a powerful CPU/RAM and that thing it is blazing fast.
Android/Google TV will crash from time to time, maybe a bit more often than Roku, but the ones crashing are the APKs and not the OS.
You can always 'save' the TV with a Roku or a .onn (Android based), and the main reason for last one is because on Roku, most of the times, you cannot iptv.
I have a MiBox and .onn device and they are fast and work as expected with Google TV.
