Currently have two Eero 6E units paired with an xFinity Gateway XB7 in bridge mode. Been dealing with a lot of abrupt lag spikes lately. Wondering if I should pick this up to replace the Eeros — or if it's likely an issue with the xFinity Gateway. House is a 1,400 square foot rambler. Thoughts?
In my experience, the eero's are not very good. They do have good reviews so ymmv.

How's the firmware on it? Do I need one of those dd wrt or tomato custom firmware to get the most out of it?

edit: ah nvm dd wrt doesn't support Broadcom/wifi6

Does anyone know if https://www.neowin.net/news/bewar...r-consent/ is still a problem too?

If needed the router doubles as a ring toss game for the kids.

I have the older wifi6 version of this and am very happy with it. Might have to upgrade though…wonder if it's just as stable

Check with a wired connection. Chances are it is your internet, not your wifi setup. Of course there is much more info needed to actually know your specific situation.

This or deco mesh which is also having discount at Costco? I live in apartment with many wifi networks around so wondering if I should get this router or mesh setup.

Make sure to turn off the WiFi on the original router also
I have a Ubiquiti router and have 2 wifi6 pro access points but never disconnected my wifi from my nighthawk modem router. Is this why my service has been an issue concerning service still being terrible in certain areas of the house even though I have full service/bars for my wifi? I'm still only able to go out halfway out of my small backyard though before the service drops off and disconnects. Is this a known issue?
