The spotlight takes 4xD size and sensor 3xAA size.
Controller gets installed between the transformer and the light so it's gets powered by that. Biggest drawback is that it gets managed by their app so if there's bugs/glitches or app gets abandoned they will become useless things if something won't work properly.

I just saw two of the smart wireless controllers at my local HD in Durham, NC (North Durham) at the $5.20 clearance price. While the sign shows "Was $99.97", it's on homedepot.com for $34.97. BS didn't show any stock at this location.

I also saw a Hampton Bay Motion Security Controller marked down to $3.70 from $24.97.

Not even sure what you are suppose to do with this.. you can tried them on or off from app.. just set some timer settings …
