I've had the ALP since Christmas and modded it heavily. I'm super happy with the results BUT I will say the ALP by itself is not worth it.

Bare necessity is being able to OTG to a decent enough laptop or pc to run Steam's FX pinball, stand-alone virtual pinball, and stand-alone future pinball tables. It's not like the arcade cabinet with only needing a USB CoinOps. You have to run tables on a laptop/pc and treat the entire ALP like display monitors and a controller. You'll need hdmi and usb to usb cable to connect. Also highly recommend a keyboard mouse combo input.

Mod suggestions - prices are approximate:
10mm casters if you're going to be moving it often - handy when modding
Change out buttons to Goldleafs $20-$30
VIBS board for back glass on OTG $60
Solenoid kit installed for flipper "thump" $150
Bass shaker / exciters haptics speakers $170 - most impressive mod. If I could only choose to do one then this is it.

It's a totally different and immersive experience when you're playing tables like Halloween, AC/DC, and Iron Maiden with some good thumping exciters and bass shaker.

You can't install games. You would need a computer and a lot of time dedicated to setting it up. Don't let anyone fool you.

I got in on the Sam's deal for $399. I'm not a virtual pinball aficionado or anything so to me it's a great device for the price. The cabinet and form factor makes virtual pinball a lot of fun!

I ordered the VIBS board for it (a must-buy mod IMO). I have set up a PC to run Pinball FX3 and Pinball FX. It works quite well, but I still have some further modding to do. The built in tables seem ok, but the PC really adds some extra depth. I haven't set up VPX yet, but will tackle that next along with running the wiring a bit better.

Fyi- the pc setup isn't that bad, but for some reason I kept running into small issues here and there . I used Wagner's guide, it was pretty good.

Yes. Either with a USB and CoinopsX or attached pc and otg mode.

I think once you add in all the mods, upgrades hacks, etc. it might be better off building your own with a kit and add in all of your own hardware. I used the mini-sized pinball cabinet here:
https://gameroomsolutions.com/cabinet-kits-2/

I put in a 7 inch DMD in mine, but it's not necessary since you can move the DMD to the top display easily and get the proper 12 inch DMD size rather than a squeezed 7 inch 16:9 ratio.

Mine is white with chrome accents. i put some wall stickers on it, so I can change the theme easily. I currently have a Star wars theme.

Got one of these and I'm surprised how much fun the the whole family is having. The upgraded tables at AtGames sells are good enough for us. Installed CoinOps vertical games on a USB and added the arcade controller. I think for most people, this is more than enough and a good price for what you get.
