I purchased one of these about a year ago and it has been an excellent investment. If you want to make tacos for parties this works way better than a bbq with a grilling mat or a pan that doesn't hold as much. If you season the top with oil, it becomes a great non-stick surface. It's also gets hot enough to sear steaks and other meats.

This is not dead, I see it as available now. I ordered mine yesterday (wish it was 2 day shipping for a camping trip this weekend, but it's May 11 delivery).

Enamel won't rust and you don't technically need to season it. If it chips you're kind of SOL vs steel top which you can recondition if it gets some rust on it. Surface area will take longer to heat as well for the porcelain. If you don't plan on using it often then porcelain might be better as it's less maintenance.
