Yes very true and at this price, I would be going with last year's model with 150W RTX 3070 Ti which are a lot more powerful than this RTX 4060, if you don't consider Frame generation.

My problem with frame generation is that it doesn't work for the intended purpose. It's like playing at a really good locked 30 fps, which is a useful for some scenarios but isn't how it's being marketed.
Plenty of people and reviewers have shown the increased input lag and frame times and how it makes visuals smoother but isn't comparable at all to real frames or a high fps experience and all that's just kind of glossed over like it's not a big deal.

Once you experience DLSS3 (frame generation) and how the input lag isn't really noticeable, especially at higher starting frame-rate points, there's no going back. It's kind of brilliant, really. And that's from someone who is mega sensitive to any kind of latency. I have no idea what you mean by "like playing at a really good locked 30fps," because... well, it's nothing like that.
The legion from microcenter with the 4060 is 1299 and is better than this.
why? I am faced with a choice between these two laptops. And some say that asus is better for the money, some write that legion. And another problem is that it is harder to order with microcenter.

Input lag "isn't that noticeable" at 60 fps hell it's not really that bad at 30 fps, most people don't notice it playing consoles.
My friends got 4090's as soon as they came out and say DLSS 3 is horrible and never use it.
That it is worse then DLSS 2 for a higher fake fps boost and I don't like DLSS 2 already.
Feel like this is a bunch of snake oil for people that couldn't tell the difference if thier game was locked with 30 or 60 fps minimums.

No, no it's really not the same. Input latency at 30fps is very, very noticeable. It's much less noticeable at 60fps, and less noticeable at 120fps+. If you're already starting at around 60-100fps before DLSS3, it's a really nice uptick in perceived performance, and if you're only sitting at ~40fps, adding DLSS2 is fantastic for making the game playable without stutter.
What would be the best option for this price range ? Im considering new lenovo slim 5i gen i7 rtx 4060 16gb ram 300 nita unfortunately or this one any suggestions ?

Not everyone has a MicroCenter near them
