Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
just by looking at prior deals this is not a bargin
But this is buying the phone outright, unlocked, without signing up for a plan. That's the lowest I've seen with that criteria. I mean, yeah you can get it for less if you sign up for a plan, but that's extra headache and other extra fees other people might not want to deal with. My biggest problem with android phones in general is how quickly they depreciate in value compared to iPhones.
I was able to make the most out of this deal by price matching with the Google store where I was also able to:
- Trade in my phone for an elevated price compared to other retailers
- Use a Pixel referral code that you can find online with minimal effort ($100 in credit for a later purchase)
- Receive 10% of the Google purchase price as credit ($89.90) for a later purchase
This was better for me than the recent $599 sale at Best Buy because Google wouldn't price match because it needed to be Unlocked, not requiring activation. The only caveat with Google price matching is that they only offer it once your item ships, so you have a small window to do the price match assuming the sale price is short lived.
My crappy refurbished Pixel 6 pro I got a few months ago for $280 including taxes gets me $450 as a trade in.
