I have both. Generally I prefer TCL to Hisense but this beats the TCL 4 from Walmart hands down. The picture is better (marginally) and it has Dolby vision which I do not believe the TCL has. That plus the 3 year warranty make the Hisense a better deal in my opinion. I use the Hisense as a PC monitor and it's thoroughly adequate for this price point.

Also for those that care, the TCL is a VA panel while the Hisense is IPS.
Damn. Just bought this last week at Fred Meyer for $66 more and no returns. FYI You have to change HDMI Format from Standard to Enhanced to get 60hz. It's not under the normal settings with the gear icon. It's under another menu that is accessed by the button on the remote that looks like a box with 2 horizontal lines in it just above the Netflix button.
I have this TV. It's not going to win any awards, but it's perfectly fine if you just need something in a home gym or something. I haven't had any real issues with it in the 4 months I have had it.

The most annoying thing is that I paired some Bluetooth headphones to it and now they won't pair to my phone unless I'm a considerable distance from the TV. Even when the TV is turned off.

Can't find the max brightness of this particular model, but similar models are rated at about 250nits peak brightness. Definitely not going to be enough for a bright room as I have a TV with 474 peak nits (43
" Samsung Q60T), and even that TV doesn't get as bright as would like when there is a good amount of natural light coming in. Not expecting anything more than 250nits at this price though. Excellent deal for a basic TV that will primarily be used in darker environments.

Do the Blutooth headphones work with any source on the TV? Like, if I was playing Xbox, would they output the sound?

Most likely very similar but I'm going this route bc of the free 3 year warranty.

I think most would say 50" is too large for a monitor , you'll have to be sitting like 4 feet back to see it all
