A cautionary tale for U. One day, long ago.... some random dude bought a "deal" 1TB MX500 SATA for $130 because.....wow what a deal ! even if he didn't really need it at the time at some point he will need it. Yesterday was that day and installed it went. Then today, same random dude sees today's deals.... like this deal or the Solidigm P44 deal $130 for 2TB of fast NVME........ Don't be that random dude. But then again same random dude at one time bought DDR ram for $65 for 16mb then 6 months later the same 16mb went for $180. Your fortune cookie says, don't buy things on a "deal" buy it when you need it and not one second before. Any resemblance between me and that random dude are purely coincidental, I swear.
If you can wait, you really don't need it do you?

Is this any better than crucial p3? It has sram, but is rated slower. It says 5yr warranty here, but other places say 3 whereas the crucial is 5.

It's been a while (according to random dude, not me), but random dude is pretty sure it was ddr. DDR was already around when mainstream motherboards had 24 or 32mb max memory limit. But who knows, maybe my memory has gone bad....the ram, I meant the ram. Smilie

Use this site, try likely controllers:
http://vlo.name:3000/ssdtool/

Anti-virus complains, but that bollocks. VLO is a known developer in the SSD world.
It's not anti-virus that's the root of the complaint, it's the fact that it's an http link instead of https, which regardless of your trust in the site you're trying to hit, means your session can be easily monitored and, in some cases, even tampered with. The intent of the site is nearly irrelevant, but the fact that they won't bother to get a certificate for it is generally not a great sign. Not saying this one is good or bad, just making sure you understand it doesn't really matter whether you trust the underlying site; connecting through http is just a generally unsafe practice.

This is a TLC drive with DRAM. It will have more consistent performance than a P3. TeamGroup increased its warranty on the drives since they were released.

No, if you want a cheep 4TB PCIe 4 drive, you should look at a crucial P3 Plus.

Posts on Reddit [reddit.com] this year indicate its a RTS5762 with SK Hynix 128L flash. That's also what I got when I bought a 1TB one earlier this year.
IfI believe @NewMaxx is a member here on SD too.
If it is RTS5762, it seem that RTS5762 is not with DRAM?

If it was 16MB it probably wasn't DDR.
EDO RAM could be 2 to 4 to 8 to 16MB in pairs, which was wonky as all get out. I think you have to go back to Pentium to 486DX and earlier to get EDO.
P2s had SD RAM, and those sticks could be 16, 32, 64MB.

Just don't talk about the abortion that was RD RAM.

wasn't it SDRAM back then? I'm pretty sure I had these style of ram before.

Any of you remember AGP graphics instead of PCI or PCIE?
PCI graphics was before AGP (alongside with ISA sound cards and AT cases/PSU's). And after AGP we've got PCIE.

Nightmarish hell scape reviews on the one stars. @ 4% of the total reviews on amazon no less seems a little high for me considering the price of the product you're investing in, the reliability of said product, the performance of said product and those reviews don't make those facts any better.

Nvidia GeForce2 was my first "big boy" video card. After that followed the Radeon X800 XT which I still have...
