G3 can hit 2000 nits vs 350 for the C2. You also get the new glare reduction layer.

They aren't available on there yet.

But I was quoted $3099 for this TV from these guys a couple weeks ago. No extra warranty though. Obviously the G series comes with one from LG that covers the panel (you pay for labor for years 2-5) but the warranty included in this deal is hit or miss.

Nice to see the prices dropping already. Hopefully they keep dropping and we're at a good price point by the last two or three months of the year!

You're attempting to compare two different tvs. G3 main reason for price difference is superior brightness (about twice as bright as a C2) and of course the benefit of the G series that comes with 5 year panel warranty.

G3 used new MLA technology that increases all brightness aspect of the tv, which was the main negative when comparing Oleds against LCD TVs. MLA G3 allows for easily 1500+ nits in highlights now.

With that said C2 is a great tv, so is a C1, CX, C9 and all of their other models. G3 with MLA technology is their latest/greatest and comes at a premium price. You may not needed, but the cost is very expensive hence the price difference.

C2 goes around 700-800 where as the G3 doubles that easily.

Well, hopefully nobody that is saving up to buy a $3,000 car buys this TV instead. This is a good 1st sale on probably the best TV. It will be $2,000 in 6 months and last year's version has been $1,600. But no, of course it's not for someone that is barely able to make ends meet, there are plenty of $200 TVs available.

The C2 is 90% as good as this for half the cost, there's always a premium for the latest and greatest and only enthusiasts should be remotely interested in this. If you don't understand why someone would spend more for this, then clearly it's not for you. (not directed at you mummy, just a general thought). I have a 65C1, so waiting on a ($3,500) deal for the 77 inch version so it will be a size upgrade as well.

I wonder what this will be selling for at BF. 2000-2100? C3 will be ~1600 by then.

Id rather buy a cutting edge TV with a 5 year warranty than a complete POS vehicle.

I just bought one at the premium price of $4500 because I'm just tired of all the issues my other TV has. I'm sure I'll feel some regret when the 77 g3 is $3000 next year lol. So far it's amazing... almost perfect tv, only issue I've come across so far is the sound kind of sucks. Gets insanely bright and I got a pretty clean panel.

Nah, you shouldn't have any regrets since you get to enjoy the TV right away.
