From many actual users reviews it seems main difference between S22U and S23U is battery life at which point paying over $500 for that seems like not a vise decision IMO. Camera they advertise is better but in reality not THAT much better.
Nice color, too bad it's not going to do anything about the overpriced-ness
Yeah, for a couple hundred I'd upgrade my S22U, but at $500 I could get a Pixel for only $100 more with no trade-in or $200 more for the new ThinkPhone and still sell my S22U.

Battery life is the single most important factor of a phone, I would say. I changed from S22 to S23U and find a whole new experience.
Yes it is overpriced, and usually, the best time to get a Samsung phone is usually 6-9mo post-launch.

Come on, with the hyperbole. A WHOLE new experience, because it holds a few more hours of battery? It's a very incremental update to an already great phone. Your S22U must have been broken or something .

There are power banks so I'd say the most important single think is SoC. If you got a lame SoC the phone can be almost unusable. I use my phone a ton and still get a day out of my 22U, a better battery isn't going to really improve my experience. That said I would upgrade for a few hundred bucks to keep the trade value up and that way if I miss a year my battery would still last.

For S23 series, the best deal actually came during pre-order season. Google Fi had S23U 512G for $600 without trade in, only need to stay with Fi for 4 months and then free to go.

To be fair. That person went from a S22 to a S23 Ultra. It can be a whole new experience considering the screen size and S pen.
When would they do $1000 trade in for S22U like last year, I'm waiting...
I've been waiting for the same deal for a while now. The more I wait, the more I get a feeling this upgrade (22U --> 23U) is not worth it. I may sit out this iteration.

Cut it bruh. If you upgraded from an iPhone 5 or phones in that era, yea whole new experience. If you came from last years model, you experience the same phone, maybe 3% better!
