Cut it bruh. If you upgraded from an iPhone 5 or phones in that era, yea whole new experience. If you came from last years model, you experience the same phone, maybe 3% better!
Yaya maybe I exaggerated. All I wanna say all day long battery without powerbank is just soooo great, plus no overheating too.

Come on, with the hyperboly. A WHOLE new experience, because it holds a few more hours of battery? It's a very incremental update to an already great phone. Your S22U must have been broken or something .
I came from the S22 Ultra and I gota say the upgrade is noticable. Not only is the battery much better it feels butter smooth. It doesnt really heat up much. The uprade memory UFS 3.1 makes it faster. I notice my reception even got better despite I have the same carrier (talk and data). Sounds much more clear and better.

To me the S23 Ultra was worth the upgrade. I didnt get the same deal like last time, but came pretty close with all the discount.

I won't pay more than $100 for S23U with S22U trade in. It's is definitely huge upgrade for international market as Samsung switched from Exynox to Snapdragon but US customers, it is only marginal upgrade only.

They had the lime green with 512 free upgrade a while back. It looked like a good deal at around 550 with trade in. The problem is however CA taxes on the full price AND price BEFORE trade in, so that put the phone taxable value at over 1300 with trade in. Cost nearly 750 to upgrade with tax. Why cant they just freakin discount the phone with trade in instead of assigning a value of over 650 to the trade in.

I've been waiting for the same deal for a while now. The more I wait, the more I get a feeling this upgrade (22U --> 23U) is not worth it. I may sit out this iteration.
It's worth it.

There are power banks so I'd say the most important single think is SoC. If you got a lame SoC the phone can be almost unusable. I use my phone a ton and still get a day out of my 22U, a better battery isn't going to really improve my experience. That said I would upgrade for a few hundred bucks to keep the trade value up and that way if I miss a year my battery would still last.
Unless you're a hardcore mobile gamer the processor isn't that important

To be fair. That person went from a S22 to a S23 Ultra. It can be a whole new experience considering the screen size and S pen.
Well and also the S22/22+ (not sure on Ultra) had absurdly bad battery life. I upgraded from my S10 on the sick Best Buy trade in deal in November because my S10 battery after 3+ years had gotten just a little bit annoying with my day to day work (sometimes on my phone for 4+ hours at a time and if it dies I can't do my job).

My brand new S22... had about the same battery life as the S10 I was trying to replace. The one that was 3 years old and had degraded severely.

Got in on the Spectrum deal for the S23 recently. The battery improvement is massive between SOC improvements and the (slightly) bigger battery. Like my S22 on battery saver drained drains faster than my S23 without. It's pretty awful how bad the S22 battery life was. Reviewers put the improvement at around 30% in testing.

Also the best deal here is the trading from a S20 Ultra + 600 for the S23 Ultra.
