How did you go about getting 5 computers connected at a time?

Great pairing with MX Mini and especially if you have multiple computers you need to switch around. This makes it easy to switch around 3 computers by default..

I managed to make it control up to 5+ computers with the MX Key Mini combo.

Left - bolt dongle attached to lightning dock - dedicated to connect my usb-c/thunderbolt laptops, 1 wire to connect + charging and has a monitor plus whatever accessories such as a camera. I have like 3 laptops I switch on and off on this side.

Middle - bluetooth paired mouse and kb - main computer, normal camera setup a mic, etc etc etc.

Right - another bolt dongle attached to a USB-HDMI KVM (4 input) and attached to 3 mini PCs, and 2nd HDMI of the main computer from the middle.
--- this allows me to hit the KVM and cycle thru 4 inputs to control any of the 3 Mini PCs or activate my 3rd monitor as a "2nd screen" to my main computer.
This is basically my "lab".

All of this controlled by this amazing MX key and mouse combo. I don't know why I waited so long to buy this thing.

There is a specific version for Mac
I have the MX Master 3 for Mac and there were problems with BT connection to a Windows 10 PC (had to upgrade BT dongle or get a Bolt one - chose to do the former). No issues since then. Use it with MX Keys KB to connect with two PC and one MacBook Pro. Thinking of getting this one for my office.

EDIT: ordered with another $2.90 off on top of the OP coupon when checking out through ID.me

In addition to the other reply, I had problems with the MX Master 3 until I used the dongle. Apparently there are problems with using Bluetooth with Macs.

I have used the MX Master 3 with an iMac and the Mac Studio with the M1 chip without a problem using BlueTooth.

Same here. I hate my MX Anywhere mouse. Bluetooth is useless on this.

I use it on Ventura across multiple macs. It seems like the BT issue was on monterrey?

Maybe this will help. I don't have any issues myself.

I suggest the Razer Orochi V2. I know it's gaming mouse but it frequently goes for $35. The looks are understated. It's super comfortable (to me). It has 2.4GHz and Bluetooth. Has storage for the adapter. Takes either a single aa or aaa, your pick.

The issue is typically when your max goes to sleep. Logitechs Bluetooth connection isn't able to wake the device from sleep using Bluetooth.

Bluetooth is laggy for waking any device compared to using a usb receiver or being wired. It's one reason I hate using BT. It may sound trivial, but I hate having to hit a key or click the mouse 5 times to wake it everytime it sleeps.

Unless you really want this specific mouse, there are better deals on higher performance mice.
Agreed... Had this been the price for a deal on the MX Master 3S then I might be all over this...

Unifying receivers are encrypted as well, so not much difference there either. They just don't always do a good job of it (originally?) and sometimes older manufactured ones needed to be updated. Easily done with the Logitech Unifying software. Any properly updated Unifying receiver and device should use AES 128bit encryption and be relatively safe.

Really depends on what you want and type of grip you prefer. A lot of people like the MXMaster (that was $75 on here yesterday). However, for me it doesn't work, as it's really geared towards a palm grip. I prefer gaming mice even for productivity and currently use a g903 that you can score new if you hunt for around $70. That's not multi-device though. Also, do you want small form factor or standard? Razer has some good options too.
I'm looking for palm grip, secondary thumb wheel, Bluetooth, smart scroll, thumb back button. I'm really looking forward to your recommendations!

Ok I do notice this after you guys mentioned it. There is definitely a delay with BT. I put a bolt receiver on and it is noticeably faster in responding

I tested this as I switch from 1, 2, 3 computers and I can see BT only pairing had a delay. Now all my computers have bolt receiver now.
