18 bucks and change in March '23. Paid 17 and change last year during "prime day" sale.

These are great for rinseless washes/spray washes. But they'll lint like crazy for drying, I'd recommend a better quality for drying/buffing/wax wiping. Especially if it's a dark vehicle.

These are great microfiber towels!

As a poster said, there is initially a lot of lint on them, but once you wash them a couple of times (cold wash no softeners) they become, imo the best microfibers and the only TRUE microfiber towels I've ever owned.

These will soak up water like no other.

For short trips or when I work out and swim a couple of laps I just bring this towel to dry 5'10 body and they work really well!

They also come in packs of like 12 or something so I just leave one in the car, my backpack, at work and whatever and just swap them out with a clean one every so often from my garage. I've already bought 2 packs from years ago and they're still good!

These are good towels, but expensive. You can get something very similar at Sam's Club for much less.

Buy this brand instead: half the price and the exact same towels (minus the kick ass Chemical Guys logo on the tag)

These are slightly bigger but they aren't half the price, there's half as many of them.

I agree, I've used both and I must say the Kirkland towels are really good quality. Plus they'll be on sale next week, starting 5/17.

Both (Sam's and Costco) are completely different products than these chemical guys towels.

The Costco (probably also Sam's, never used those) towels are decent for wax removal or a final buff with spray products. They will also lint a lot more, and you can really tell on glass (especially tinted) or dark paint.

The deep nap side on the chemical guys towels is easily twice as deep than the deep nap side of the Costco towels. This makes them great for spray washes and rinseless washes, since the deeper nap will, ideally, keep contaminants and dirt away from the clear coat. The "satin" edge of the chemical guys towel is much less likely to leave fine lines and swirls than the stitched edge of the Costco towel.

I use both, but for very specific and different uses. Your mileage may vary depending on how anal you are about your car's paint.

I agree, I use both, for different applications. However, my experience in terms of linting with the Kirkland towels is quite different: I've used them for leveling ceramic coatings, and I haven't noticed much lint. Maybe because I wash them before using them?

Always wash my microfiber first (and remove the tags). Also condition the towels with Griot's microfiber wash.

Maybe it's the nature of glass that I notice so much lint. As for the paint, I'm overdue for a decontamination/clay bar, that might be why it leaves a bit of lint behind on the dark grey paint as well.

Oh yes, glass is a different beast, usually "grabbier" than paint, especially while coating it. And that's why I use Kirkland for my first wipe and Chemical Guys for my second wipe. Same here, my car is way overdue for a decontamination. Hopefully I can set some time aside this weekend.
