P421 is the bottom of the barrel. Just fine if you cut off a bolt here or there. But it gets real hot if you run it longer.

P445 is mid tier. Probably the minimum acceptable product for a "tool guy."

The brushless one is top tier. If you're asking about grinders you probably don't want this one.

Cordless grinders aren't exactly great. Use them if you really need portability and convenience. If you don't use them often, you're probably better off with a corded one. They are more powerful and having to constantly drag out extension cords isn't too bad because you barely use it. Metabo makes one that's like $40ish that will spank the Ryobi brushless and probably last a lifetime. My POS Chicago Electric grinder from HF still hasn't died after 20 years. Last year it cut off a couple bolts and made around 80 cuts of 1/2" rebar. As much as I'd like a cordless grinder there's really not a lot of benefit to spending the money for me.

Safety is a big deal with grinders. They cause a lot of workplace accidents. You shouldn't fear it, but you darn better respect it. Eye protection any time you flip the switch. Gloves if you're throwing sparks. If you get into using a wire wheel, please get a face shield and cover up as best you can. Leather if you can do so. If one of those wires breaks off at several thousand RPM it can embed itself quite deeply into your body.

Not seeing anything amazing, or if the price is decent it does not ship to home.

Factory Blemished is practically new. Even with the $15 shipping, still cheaper compared to Home Depot.

Thanks OP. They had the dust buster available for pickup near me. Seemed worth a try for $15 plus tax with no shipping.

Bought the reconditioned auger kit for 50% off because I need to install a fence. Hoping I don't regret reconditioned and can still resell it on marketplace when done. The factory blemished kit is only 2% (two!) off compared to new at Home Depot and that says final price. ($489 vs $499)

I was reading in the Bissell thread that the Ryobi stick vacuum isn't great. Is it worth it at this price? Just need it for one carpeted room about 250 sqft.

I had the first gen. It was bad enough I replaced it with a Dyson. Have heard the 2nd gen is better though.

when ryobi first started to make tools with more power, they made them capable of using two 18v batteries--i know that a little less power than a 40 v but, i have a ton of 18v batteries so it was great--now they want me to go out and buy the more expensive 40v--what happened to 1 battery fits all
