Looking for a beginner guitar? Thiis is a great one with caveat of need to follow some videos (plenty) on how to maintain a Floyd rose tremolo and the major impact to string tension change. 1. don't change gauge is my recommendation. when resetting, use exact same gauge to simplify string chsnge. 2. if you have a local guitar store, see if they have a luthier if the guitarist is not mechanically inclined) The reason is the floating tremolo (whammy bar). Guitar is a tough enough instrument to learn without the added headache/complexity of a tremolo if you are not going to play that style of music. .Now, if you want to get into playing involving dive bombs without a major $ investment this is perfect! Bought one for my nephew and out of the box it plays and sounds great! Beware, cheap Chinese parts! The tuners disentegrate internally, you can strip the locking nut and bridge string locks easily. For an entry level tremolo guitar used with proper care you can't beat this! Repped and TU OP!

I completely disagree, some people who want to learn songs from guitarists like EVH that require a Floyd rose or a trem will appreciate this. It doesn't make it tough to learn with the "complexity of a tremolo". 🤣 Disregard this guy's message, for a $200 Jackson go on offer up and get you some emg pick ups and your straight. In summary, whether or not this guitar is suitable for a beginner depends on personal preferences and goals. A fixed bridge guitar may be a simpler option for someone just starting out, but a guitar with a floating tremolo can be a great choice for someone who wants to experiment with different playing techniques. It is important to consider the quality of the instrument, as well as the level of care needed to maintain it.

So the picture shows no locking nuts. So you don't need to worry about that!

I bought this as my first guitar. It's great. It's not hard at all to learn to tune, and the licensed Floyd Rose holds tune well despite what people who haven't played this guitar will claim. At $199 this is a great high gain beginner's guitar.

I can't disagree with that. Understand that unless you have a luthier or are good with the simple steps required for string changes and maintenance of fr trem. And impact of string tension impact from changing gauge of strings. So yea, agree this is a killer guitar at a killer price! 🤘Big jackson guy myself. love my made in Japan Dinkys.

I clearly missed that lol. All my MIJ have locking nuts. I bet these newer nuts allow the strings to not snag and provide better consistency in turning then older nut materials.

Pretty sure that's just you projecting. Didn't get a hint of that at all, but then again, calling someone a "woke chick" is insanely cringey

Floyd this, Floyd that.... This isn't the Floyd variant. That would be the JS32

Trem guitars are not for beginners imo. They are a pain in the ass to retiring, tune and level, and also make bends more challenging. Get this in addition to whatever but not a starter.

Not a good beginner guitar. Invest a little more money and get a higher quality guitar. Cheap parts.
