    "They don't go on sale." LOL. The Player series guitars can be found on sale pretty much anytime. Not always at this price, but you can always find one on sale somewhere. You mention Guitar Center....you can get 10% off any Fender just by signing up for an account. Their sister store Musician's friend has probably a dozen player series guitars on sale. Even Adorama (the site of this deal) frequently has their LPD Player series for cheaper than this.

    Squiers are not children's guitars. I've had Classic Vibes that are far better than Player series guitars. My Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster is one of the best playing guitars I've ever owned. Chris Buck plays a Squier Classic Vibe Jazzmaster live. And they're not made in Korea. They're made in China.

    Classic vibe series dollar for dollar are a better value then these player series. Player series is NOT a bad line at all. It's an go to for many folks. However now that player are closer to $800 or so, the classic vibes truly hold their own weight for hundreds less. However they always sell out quick!

    I got a LPB Tele for a shade over $500 almost 2 years ago. I'm not in the business of supporting other companies business models if it requires me to pay $2-300 more for the same thing.

    Disagree completely (well, mostly completely). I ordered my LPB Strat from them and the original shipment came in a box that was beaten up during shipping. It had a huge hole in it and the pickup switch on the guitar was bent.

    Customer service was excellent. Returning was simple and they sent me a replacement with one day shipping.

    I upgraded my 112v. My Player is an upgrade in almost every way (the necks are pretty equally comfortable, though). I'll add that my PAC didn't require a setup, but the Fender did

    Every time I try mim fender at music stores they are worse than classic vibes and even affinity in terms of fret work and setup.

    Bought one. I have a bunch of guitars but I've never had a "real" name brand guitar in the 20+ years I've pretended to play. I snagged a white with pau ferro. I sure hope it's nicer than the monoprice guitars I've been buying

    However, the pickups, bridge, and pots are superior, as is the satin gloss on the back of the neck. Frets are level, however a bit rougher on the ends then the CV. I only really notice if I'm running my hand over the fretboard specifically looking for issues, though. I've never scratched my hand while playing

    Setup however, totally agree. If you can't do it yourself, you'll be spending extra on a setup
