One thing to consider, Linksys updates are non existent. I have a similar Linksys router and it never received an update for the last 3 years.

My experience wasnt great with range, dropping the 2.4ghz band frequently, then the 2.4 radio just died altogether at less than a year. Im sticking to asus or similar after replacing it, amd having very solid wifi with better range

yup, linksys just isnt what it used to be back in the day. i use a variety of branded routers and they all have their own pros and cons.

if you want to let your neighbors know something, just put it as the wifi SSID. for example "you make my ass itch"

How would this work as an OpenWrt device [openwrt.org]? Specs seem to compare favorably against the venerable TL AC1750.

had this before, last less than 6 months then wifi was disconnected intermittently, I had to reset every few hours. Finally threw it to trash.
Changed to Netgear 5400X and worked well.

I bought 5 years back its good 2.5GHz range for 2500sqft house without any repeater or anything.. however other said it dropping 2.5GHZ too frequently and I don't know I felt it has something to do with phone VPN too... but overall I don't recommend this.. I am upgrading to Mesh and now a days if you want to buy go with Wi-Fi 6 instead of 5.

This talkative router keeps chatting with belkin.com all day long. Try to avoid it at any discounts

Look into DD-WRT or open-wrt. I have Linksys too and flashed it. Work's way better now. More features
