This but a little cheaper would be perfect for an OptiPlex I have. Meanwhile for a different OptiPlex I'm checking out the 2.5" deals instead.

I've had this for 2 yrs and it works fine.
I can't attach any more drives to my MB, have to go larger capacity.

Can these m.2 to PCI-e x 4 controllers allow boot OS? I'm wondering if I can use it on my Lenovo Batocera install of Linux.

It depends on the chipset firmware, I have 2 optiplex systems. Only one among them will support it

Dang, I thought I got a deal at $96 a while back. For SSD these days, I guess it pays to wait until you actually need the drive.

any 4 ssd cards that don't require bifurcation? I honestly don't know if either of the two machines I want to use them in support it and pretty sure at least 1 (asus q8m motherboard with i7-4790) doesn't given it didn't even come with nvme slots. The other machine is an hp TP01-2066 and it MIGHT.

Why when the 670p is at least $9 less? Better endurance with DRAM?

got this from bestbuy for $51 on sale, only complaint as a main drive is if you do too much write insensitive activity it can freeze your pc for a few seconds i.e. restoring a large steam/game pass library
