Almost $3000 and they couldn't muster 2TB?

EDIT: If you're in the market for a Legion 7 Pro, the 4080 version is $500 less. I can't imagine the 4090 performing $500 better.

If you are using for rendering yes it is $500 better, maybe more... Best graphics card ever ( talking about the desktop version) in terms of price/performance if you are using it for rendering.
Bro, this is a laptop thread.

i am not 100 % convinced the RTX 4090 M runs on full possible power with only 330 watt psu , there are specs with i9 and rtx 4080 and they supply an 350 or even 380 watt psu.

does anyone see some benchmarks

just $400 off of msrp , summer hole is coming may be 600-800 possible in 2-4 month ? laugh out loud

The laptop 4090 is nowhere close to the desktop class.

It is comparable to a desktop 3090, which is pretty impressive.

That said, this mobile 4090 (with 16GB VRAM) is more like the successor to the mobile 3080.(with 16GB VRAM.) Nvidia cut the VRAM on the mobile 4080 down to 12GB, so it is a step down from the previous gen in that regard.

3070 Ti laptops have been on sale for under $1500, sometimes even as low as $1250

How much are you really getting for double the price? I would suggest checking out Jarrod's tech channel, where you can see exactly how much gain in performance you are going to get...its definitely not double.

Is this supposed to be a slick deal? Yes, I understand that this laptop is spec'ed to the max and all that. But is this considered a 'find', or a true deal? Just asking.

It's PC gaming - this is way past the inflection point of prices doubling equaling double performance. At this price point, it's always a lot more money for marginal increases and meant only for those who want the fastest to say they have it. I used to be one of those but now it's too rich for my blood - I'll stick to my Legion 7 with a 3070.

Can't imagine that even a legion pro with that processor plus GPU isn't constantly thermal throttling. Wouldn't expect to get anywhere near Max performance for very long.
