where do you all get $15 or $25 k to deposit in a checking account just laying around out of the blue? Or, perhaps a better and worrying question, AM I THAT POOR IN COMPARISON TO MOST PEOPLE???

I had a discover savings for a while so I'm clear this offer is not for me but about 2 weeks ago I opened another savings account to make it a joint account with my wife. Will she be elegible for the bonus if she opens a solo savings account?

I have tried getting a Discover credit card 3 times now over the past 5-8 years. Never been a Discover customer before. Every single time I get declined, hard inquiry on my reports for 2 years, and told to contact customer service. Which I'm not going to do because it's bullshit. I have always had a 750+ credit score when applying and no debt besides a stupid apartment collections for $70 that was paid. I have 3 Chase cards, AMEX, Capital One, and a couple credit union credit cards, never been declined. I have zero debt, regularly use my credit cards and pay off the balances in full every month. But for some farking reason the shitheads at Discover keep declining me. Now I find out current customers get one promotion for life? They're terrible to me.

Why not just open her solo account first and change it to a joint account after getting the bonus?
