If anyone wants to do the math, it's 60% Apy.

(0.60*15000)*(30/365)
Quote from hpmax :
Your math is a bit suspect... the correct way to calculate this is (Total after bonus/Total before bonus)^(365/ hold period in days) so (15750/15000)^(365/30) = 81.05% or (5500/5000)^(365/30)=218.87%

Not bad for FDIC insured.
If you deposit $5000 and get $500 for 30 days, and you repeat this offer 12 times over 360 days with that same $5000, and every 30 days you put the $500 interest earned under your mattress, that would be $6000 earned for 360 days on a $5000 investment. Isn't that a return of 120% for 360 days?

Repeating the $15,000/ $750 offer 12 times, putting interest earned under your mattress each month:
$750 x 12 = $9000 return on a $15k investment over 360 days = 60% return for 360 days.

Not sure why this comment, I have been banking with them for over a decade hands down the best alteast compared to chase and wells fargo. They have so many branches in CA , extended hours, conveniently located in major food chains, competitive mortgage rates, excellent customer service....

Bank loyalty... Odd odd comment.

Beware: They recently changed their website to be less secure. They took away the security question that proved you weren't on a phishing website. I have two factor authentication turned off but they keep requiring it when I log in but don't send me the code to my phone at times. Then they ask if I want to try an alternate way of logging in so they ask for the last 4 digits of my SSN or debit card pin and then say they sent a code to my phone. Inquires about the lack of security and inability to get to my money have been ignored.

They are definitely trying to keep people from getting their money.

I want to move my checking account to Chase or Wells Fargo. Any opinions on either?

edit: a lot of you morons think I didn't follow the terms of this deal. I've done plenty of deals and am not new to bank account bonuses. As I stated, I transferred from non-US bank account to US bank account meaning 'new' funds according to pretty much any bank bonus offer. Not this bank though. Those of you calling me dumb can get bent and kick rocks lol

I just signed up for their Altitude Connect credit card that has a signup bonus of $500 after $2k spend… based on your comment, I'm now doubting if they will honor that.

It asks you for an EIN number. What if you don't have one?

Doesn't US Bank limit accounts to Midwest states?

Same with Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo said my initial deposit of 300$ did not count to the 1000$ requirement for its offer. These banks play these games to deny paying bonus while getting interest free "loan" for a few months.

Don't agree, I have received bonus for credit card, personal checking, business checking from this bank. No issue, fast and quick.

Did you use credit card for those initial deposit? Of course they don't count as new money. Work very well for me.

Doctor of Credit has this included with their deal post:

Availability: Nationwide (excludes NY & FL and any other state without a branch unless you have an existing relationship)

Could this be why some people report not receiving their bones...not having a branch in their state? I'm in TX and would love to take advantage of this bonus but worry I don't qualify for this reason and wouldn't receive. Thoughts?

Be specific U.S. Bank? Or U.S. Bank's in general. Cause I'm actually a huge fan of US Bank. Had them for years. What happened to you? Forget to pay your cc on time so they hit you with a fee. News flash buddy, they all do. Maybe give some context before just saying something is terrible.
