LOL, finally there is one who hates Chase, yes Chase bank is the worst 😂
I thought I previously read to open a credit card (as you can open a US Bank credit card from any state) and then once that relationship is established with US Bank, you'll be able to open accounts for bonus offers that you normally would not be able to.
Does anyone have any datapoints on this?
Ex, Do I need to have a Business Credit card to open a business account...or would I be able to get by, by opening a normal non-business credit card and then opening a business checking account such as the one in this post??
TIA for any datapoints.
As for this offer, though, 1. I assume you're legit supposed to use it only for business and 2. I was going to do the chase checking and savings accounts for $900 bonus and I assume it would seem suspicious to open yet another checking account also.

I called US Bank this morning and even after verifying my name/address/social/the amount deposited/etc.. they say they can't give it to me for "security reasons" and that I need to call their "business department". Already feels like they are giving me the run around.
I'm wanting to login so I can turn off paper statements.
Edit: Just called their "business department" as well and lady was pretty rude, was adamant she will not give an account # over the phone, I mentioned wanting to turn off the paper billing to not get the $6 charge and she said if that happens I could call back in and they could review it.. Asked to do some type of confirmation that I atleast called and wanted to have paper billing turned off and she said can only do that via the online banking page, of which I can't access with out account number. She said I should expect to see a letter in the mail within the next couple weeks that will have the account number but also have a feeling she was just lying to me. She was very unhelpful with any request.

Plus state tax. Which is quite high in California
I believe I have read (either here or other bank bonus blogs) where you can open a US Bank Credit card - and once you've established that relationship, you can apply for bank accounts (personal and business) to go after the bank account sign-up bonus's.
Be very wary though and read through this thread and many others of how NOT to get taken by US Bank - US Bank sounds very shady in trying to deny paying out the bonus if you don't follow the terms directly...or for example, approving an account but not actually giving the new customer their account number for a few weeks, so that they can sign on and turn off paper billing ($6 a month fee). (BTW, I do believe I read that everyone could have avoided this issue, if they had just taken a screen shot at the end of their approved online application, as the account number(s) were provided on that last approval page).
I hope this helps...and I hope to get some datapoints of others who are not in a US Bank state and went the Credit Card route to start that relationship with US Bank.

Sounds interesting. The account can be funded from credit card, if it is not counted as cash advance....
Any limitation amount for credit card to fund the account?
Need to figure out to lock the cash advance to be safe
