You can control the level of suction. And these robot vacs aren't getting as powerful as the corded ones. I can follow my S7 MaxV with my corded Dyson and get more dirt/dog hair off the rugs every time. Gotta balance performance and battery life.

I'm not interested in the mop feature. I think it's just unreliable. So I'm looking at the Q5+ but I need to look over the new products that were just released. I heard the smarts got a lot better.
I have the S7 and the mopping is awesome. No issues whatsoever. What exactly do you mean by unreliable?
New s came out so they are getting rid of these; s7 ultra has been great for me. Waiting for a sale on the new one before I get it an move the s7 to the basement.

I've got an s5 max with the mop and I think it does a good job too. I don't know what issue the other poster has with it being unreliable but mine does what it's expected to do.
Good sale for new but I'd get a refurbished unit from their eBay listing instead. Cheaper, longer 3rd party warranty, and still pretty much new (from my experience with an S4 several years ago).
After trying the S7 MaxV Plus, we were waiting for the S8 Plus for the dual brushes (also have Rooma J7+ for second floor, which cleans will buy navigation and battery life aren't great). Unimpressed by the camera ai avoidance from the S7 MaxV (kids toys and other stuff), so tempted to just go with the regular S7+ when the sub-$500 eBay sale comes back.

My S5 max is four years old. At year two it was having trouble with charging if I have it clean the entire house daily. I broke up the cleaning to rooms one day and common areas another, and that seemed to solve the charging problem. Now it's really loud.
I tried taking it apart to see if I can somehow clean the system but that got too complicated so I bought an S6 to supplement. The noise difference between the 6 and 5 max are noticeable. The battery still holds charge. Just wondering if it's time to replace the 5 max

The mop feature is insane. It mopped my whole house and it is super clean!

This! Got s7 from ebay refurbished for $290. It is practically new. No scratch whatsoever. Even though it is only $100 cheaper but the 2 years warranty is awesome too
For those of you that use the mopping feature, how do you handle hardwood flooring? Is there an additive you use, or do you turn it off for the wooden floors?

I've also heard newer models with the older brushes installed work better with pet hair.
