Regarding the RAM, maybe just to buy additional 16G same model to have 32G total? It's additional $35 (open box at microcenter).
If you are going to microcenter anyway, just grab the 7700x deal (if in stock at your store). It includes ram (values = $100ish), and the processor owns this.
I have two systems I want to upgrade, but both are running smaller mATX cases I'd rather keep using.
