Depends on your setting. These are completely acceptable and stylish in most office settings today but to your point, you're not wearing these on job interviews or important client meetings for example.

For those of us who believe leather soles look the most fashionable, but are functionally no good (e.g. comfort, traction), I kind of like the white sole vs a big thick hunk of black rubber that looks like a it came off of a truck tire.
