Also I get what you're saying about the back of the monitor helping to strengthen the signal but really it's on the wrong side of the curve to be very effective.
If it's useful to someone or not will depend entirely on their setup but honestly it's pretty much just a gimmick to help stand out against 100 other very similarly spec'd curved 144hz+ VA panels.
Just to kill two birds with one stone, having the whole cross panel of the monitor compared to a tiny antenna should help with gain no matter how small. Behind the monitor or in front does not matter as the signal passes through the material from no matter what direction your router is transmitting from.
Is it a needed feature, no, is it kind of cool for people who use heavier construction desks, most definitely. My desktop sits on my table with my monitor so not an issue for me, but if I had the option I would plug into a monitor over the standard antennas anyday of the week.

NO. Just No. Whichever part contains the antenna connectors will have a set of antennas in it. This can help someone with a desktop running on wireless to get their antennas to a higher location without having to buy another antenna. The feature is thoughtful.
That "Whole back of the monitor" statement is absolutely silly.

The antennas connect to the stand, not the back of the panel. The stand contains two little antennas that are probably very similar to the antennas that came with your desktop wifi card.
If you would take a moment to apply some common sense and look at the product, you can even see where the monitor connects and the stand flares to the left and right kinda like a cobra hood. Pretty safe bet that there is an antenna on each side of that. The antenna plugs dont even have a way to interact with "the entire corss panel" of the monitor.
