This is super tempting but I just can't. I just picked up the Monoprice amp (I have an Gibson Faded Studio SG) and the Ibanez Mikro bass lol... It would be an interesting proposition selling the Gibson Faded Studio SG (for whatever reason the thing can't stay in tune for more than few minutes haha) in favor of this but I dunno. Hollowbody guitars have always intrigued me but I think the timing is bad on this one. If I didn't buy the bass, I probably would have more strongly considered this. My wife will absolutely kill me if I get another guitar (this would be the 10th guitar in the house if I pulled the trigger... currently at 6 acoustics, 1 electric and 2 basses, oh an a ukulele if that even counts lol)

I think the only way I could justify something like this if I committed myself to learning jazz guitar hahahaha.

I contacted them. Hard shell included with piezo model as well.
Actual hard shell case or the se soft case (basically a renforced gig bag)?

Does anyone know whether proaudiostar takes returns on open box items if not satisfied? Does the customer pay return shipping?

LOL - quit enabling me! I work from home so it would be hard to sneak it in. I don't even have a case for the Mikro bass yet and it's that shiny blue color so it stuck out like a sore thumb and my wife happened to go into the loft (which is where the kids play and usually where she doesn't go). She just asked me "so how many guitars do you have now?" to which I responded "two basses" so that it wouldn't sound as horrible...hahahaha

I'm hoping no case....I don't need another guitar. I just got an EVH striped yesterday and a PRS SE Holcomb two weeks ago. laugh out loud
Wait an evh striped... came with a case? The Adorama bumblebees on here recently did not... bit even double boxed. which did you get and from where?

edit: maybe I read that wrong...I read that you didn't need another case. which I can relate to... they take up space!

This guitar has one hell of a mustache.

Edit: wait I thought the point of a hollowbody was to make it lighter, but that chonker weighs 10lbs?!
no on both counts. that's probably shipping weight with the case or something.
I have the non piezo and it's no where near 10lbs.
And the point of a hollowbody is the tone. If you just want to make it lighter you put lightening holes in it

Readjust your thinking. Less expensive does not mean cheap quality.

Actual hard case. Yes they do, as long as its in the same condition, BUT if you're returning it due to buyers remorse or changed your mind there might be a restocking fee.

How do you do that? Take a drill to it and perforate it so that it looks like a peg board?

You don't do it. The manufacturer does it, and nearly exactly like that. They'll take out chunks of wood before the put the veneer top on.

Oh, you are talking about weight relief for a (what used to be, and is still technically called) a solid-body. I don't think you can do much weight relief on an already hollow body. Also... weight relieved Les Pauls are not REAL Les Pauls.

The trick is to keep her distracted with something she geeks out on…and even better, if she overindulges like we do with guitars, you can just mention that when the topic of your collection comes up

For some reason I keep thinking I "only" have 2 according to the wife.
I bought a lake placid blue tele and strat. Kept only one out at a time. Worked for a while till she saw me playing tele while strat was on wall behind me. She's like WTF why do you have two blue guitars! I said they sound different. She said well they both sound like shit if your playing them and walked away

if she ever notices my les paul HPII in black translucent fade that looks just like the black flamed maple esp ltd-256....I'm a goner
